High! I’m Karen Francis (Empress Zaria) an English Language Teacher Trainer, Business English Coach, and Curriculum Designer with extensive international teaching experience across Africa, China, the Caribbean, and the U.S.
I specialize in English for Industry, Business English, and Professional Communication—helping students, professionals, and organizations achieve success in today’s global economy. Whether you’re preparing for a business presentation, pursuing studies abroad, or entering fast-growing industries like AI, IT, and computer science, I design solutions that match your goals.
As a U.S. State Department English Language Fellow, I’ve worked with universities, teacher associations, and government institutions to build capacity through custom courses, professional development workshops, and blended learning technologies. My fellowship projects included introducing cutting-edge digital tools for English teaching and learning at the PKFokam Institute of Excellence in Cameroon, where I also trained faculty and supported curriculum development.
Through Haile Selassie I MetaVersity (HSIM), I integrate online and virtual reality-enabled English learning with career-focused training. Students who complete certifications in AI, Coding, or IT gain both language support and internship opportunities, making English learning practical, future-oriented, and industry-ready.

This is a working group that was created to facilitate the planning and coordination of the renovation of the Health Center in Nanny Town (renamed Moore Town) as well as other Nanny Town Community Tourism Projects.
By joining this group you will connect with Nanny Town Colonel and other project collaborators, get project development updates, book your voluntourism experience, and plan your eco tourism excursion in Maroon Town.
Queen Nanny, the colonel, and the maroons living in this community look forward to your collaboration and support of this and other Maroon Town development projects.
